I bought it because I enjoyed Arkham Asylum, and Arkham City.

Supposedly Arkham Orgins has alot more bugs then the previous games, but if you can look past the bugs the game is suppose to be pretty good.

Origins is a steaming pile of shit, and was nothing more than a cash grab by WB. The first two games, Asylum and City, were a joint venture between Rocksteady UK and WB Seattle. Each title required a couple of years in development and were nothing short of stellar. The next planned title in the series was/is Arkham Knight, which has been delayed until early next year. WB owns the rights to the franchise and didn't want to wait 2+ years in between City and Knight, so they had WB Montreal make Origins 100% in house. And they failed, hard.

First off, the story is complete shit as WB went against previous story elements that we learned about in the previous games. I won't go into detail to avoid spoilers. They also, for the third game in a row, gave us the exact same end villain as the previous two games. Even though they specifically sold Origins on the lie that the end villain would be different. Then there are the bugs, horrible game breaking bugs. Rooms that you can get trapped in unless you learn how to glitch your way out. Rooms that you can't get into without glitching. AI that does not know what the fuck it is doing, they will randomly get caught on walls and other objects, breaking their patrol patterns. Those patrol patterns being critical for the predator events.

The worst bug was PC specific, the quicktime event with the end villain can not be completed with a mouse and keyboard. Now, all games in the series do play better with a 360 controller since that is the way the game is designed to be played. But not every PC owner has one. I don't know if there has been an official patch yet or not, but I only got past it because another player released a fix that required modifying game files to get around the bug.

Long story short, play Asylum, play City, play Knight when it comes out, but don't give WB a single penny for Origins.
