Hey guys,

I am looking for advice because i want to upgrade my PC but i am not sure how would be the best way.

My current specs are :

AMD FX 6100

8,00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 669MHz

AMD Radeon HD 7770

Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3

And a 600 watt power supply

My budget is 215 euro's and i was thinking about buying a MSI GeForce GTX 760 Gaming GPU. ( 210 euro )

But im afraid my cpu would bottleneck it. Is that true and should i buy a GTX 760 or something else ?

Thanks in advance.

(I am sorry if my English is incorrect i'm dutch)

What's the system being used for? Rest of your specs?

Where are you shopping?

Be more specific for the psu. Not all 600w psus are created equal.

The cpu wouldn't significantly bottleneck a 760 for what I know, but like @WoodenMarker said the psu might be an issue. In alternative to the 760 you can buy an r9 280 if you can get it for a similar price, it's a bit faster.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

I am not a pro and my Build has a huge mistake in it (CPU). If you have a MOBO that is capable of handling an 8320 I would snatch that and you would be sure there will be no bottlenecks. I would also start saving up for the GPU but get a 700 and you should be set.

I am running a 770 on a 600 Watt PSU with no issues.

I want to use it for 1080p gaming. I can get a MSI Radeon R9 280 Gaming 3G for 200 euro, should i buy that card instead of the gtx 760 and can my Cooler Master GX Lite 600W handle it?

Your current psu would be fine for that. The 280 is a bit better than the 760.
