How to update laptop BIOS?

HI,

 

I have a Dell m5030 (AMD) and I have Xubuntu running on it. I need to update the BIOS, and the only way to update it is to download an EXE (which i am not going to run a bios update exe under wine) 

 

 

Is there a way I can update the bios without windows?

you have to get it from the manufacturer so it's legit and safe to run, Updated the Bios on my Dell Lap through Win, it ramps up the fan speed, stops every thing and start Updating, restart and done, what are afraid from any way ???

Does the bios have any update features such as M-flash? I know that mine will update if I put the exe on a usb stick and tell it to look there, and it takes care of the rest.

It is a laptop, and the only way to update it is through an .exe which doesnt run on linux (thats what I have installed) and I am not going to run a BIOS update under wine.
