Now or Later?

Hullo,

With the steam summer sales going on, I'd just like to see how people go about buying games.

Like, would you wait for a game to go on a heavier discount but take the risk of it not discounting further? 

Or do you just take the risk of the game not ever going on a further discount and buy it straight away?

 

I'm looking to buy Transistor which is now $17.99 with a 10% discount, but I'm holding off from buying it in the hopes that it'll go on a bigger discount although I suspect it won't since it's a relatively new game...

Well does it say sale ends june 30 under it if it does then wait until june 29 and if it hasn't dropped any-more then it wont

yeah, it says offer ends 1st June.

However, I just realised that even if it did go down to 30% discount (and that's being hopeful) it would be $14, and I'm not really fussed about $4 for a good game

 

If it's a game I'd pay for price for, I'll take any discount.

on the steam summer sale this year when you buy something or click the summer adventure banner you can join a team at random purple won day 1 and red day two you scroll past daily deals and click the summer adventure banner and scroll about halfway though and join a team i got purple and everyday which ever team wins 30 members get 3 items on their wishlist

Yeah... I was so pumped for the sales because it started literally on the day we finished school in aus.

Once I got back home I hopped on to steam and went "well shit, I don't actually have anything to buy"

Regardless the 50% deals end 30 june, so I have till then.

I wait and see if a game goes on a flash sale or something for less. If not, I'll buy it during the last few hours of the sale.

 

I almost bought L4D2 before they made it free during the holiday sale last year. Almost...
