I have one 770 and an fx8120 at 4Ghz, if I added another 770 would I bottleneck? If so how badly?

I will not recommend doing that ~ an 8320/8350 is essential in running 2 way SLI/CF setup. You might gain less than 40% advantage gained by adding another 770 in SLI if you continue using 8120.

its still an eight core fx cpu. Id say youll be fine.

It's hard to say but I think there would be a bottleneck, at least get an FX8320. 

First gen was horrible.

Not just that ~ 8320/50 gives better per core performance, has newer instruction set, is better at OC, has higher Memory Bandwidth(double) and beats 8120 is in every stress test by a wide margin.
