First SSD

Ok everyone, talk me out of my buying a 500gb 840 Evo. This will would be my first ssd. (Don't judge me)

 

I am planning a new build in a few months, but I figure I can buy the SSD ahead of time use it in my current rig and still throw it in the new machine when I have it ready.

 

Is there anything important I should know before I hit the buy now button?

Yeah that's what made me think I could throw the SSD in my old machine first, instead of waiting to put it in a new machine.

you diden't say that you wanted to use it in your old one, in denmark it have been falling with +7 dollor month.

but if you want to use it in yor old one BUY IT you will never go back

It does come with data migration software, but I haven't been able to get it to work right with my 840 evo 500 gb. For some reason, it won't clone the boot record and Samsung's support isn't very helpful.
