H80i fan upgrade

Hey guys just a quickie, are the stock fans on the Corsair H80i pwm or not? im too lazy to go in and dissassemble it :D

Also i know most of you would say if i want to upgrade i should get noctua but i can get a Corsair SP120 dual pack for half the price of 1 Noctua fan in my country atm...

Also Do i NEED the PWM version? is it substantially better? Bc the standard dual pack costs approx 30$(6000HUF) and the pwm dual pack costs almost 45$-ish(9000HUF).

Thanks in advance for the input, many kisses for all! :D

PWM doesn't mean the fan is any "better" at all. It's still the same fan. All it means is that it's RPM can be monitored. a 3 pin fan can still be plugged into a PWM header on a motherboard and be controlled just fine. :)

Thanks man, so i guess i can still control the nonpwm's from corsair link just as now(?).

Im still undecided tho to either get the performance or the quiet edition. (It gets freaking hot here in the summer)

Depends how much cooling performance you need, I have some sp120 quiets on my h100i and they do a pretty stellar job, keeping my i7 at about 40ish degrees with an ambient of 20c

If it gets super hot the performance edition might be a good idea

Well I did a stress test, but todays a pretty cool day and while it did well, it can sometimes get 35°C in my room so i'll go for the Perf. ed. for safety. Thanks all, ill Mark solved now.

So hey, bump on this topic i bought a pair of non pwm fans and plugged it in, works fine apart from not going under 1800rpm in corsair link, which is pretty high and noisy. So anyone any idea, solution? Cheers.
