I am having a problem with my two ram sticks (by Kingston). I used to be able to set the XMP profile to 2400Mhz but now even if I do (in the BIOS), when I get to the desktop frequency is only 2133Mhz. Any reason as to why this may be happening? Thanks.

Note: I tried loading default BIOS settings and still no luck.

That's the thing, I have been able to set it to 2400Mhz in the past, but actually since I put my new 295x2 in there I can no longer set it to 2400Mhz... is this normal?

Nope, not in the slightest. Does it work at 2400 without the card put in?

Wow, this is super weird. XMP disabled and it is still 2133Mhz. Here's a pick of BIOS changes I just made:

Huh. Are you running beta version of the BIOS? Are you sure that you are pressing the "save" button? :D

You could try to insert all the numbers (latency, voltage) manually. The numbers are printed on the modules.

Yes, I am on beta version... maybe go back to previous version? Can it be done?

Yes, you can flashback your BIOS.

Here's an tutorial for it. http://www.manualslib.com/manual/547971/Gigabyte-Ga-Z77p-D3.html?page=60

It might be risky, shouldn't be too hard though.
