Hey

Okay, so I've decided to try to build my very own PC, and I want something that's capable of playing games on ultra, and something that's upgradable.

Here's my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/6nqVGX

As I'm new to PC-building, my questions are:

- Is this a good build?

- Should I go with the new motherboard chipset instead of the VI Formula

- Are all the parts compatible

I'm planning on going SLI at some point in the future, when I feel the need is there.

Hope you guys can help me  :)

I'd like to mention that the Maximus VI Hero should also suit your needs, and is cheaper. Take a look at that if you'd like. If you still want the features of the Formula, go for it, great board :)

I really wish that we'd just make organic hardware already, that grows and adapts to the demands it needs to meet. That way, grannies' computers can be floppy sacks of organicness and the 12 year old Minecrafters will look like the guys that only do bicep curls, and the nerdy programmers will finally have justice, with their body-builder rigs that skipped leg day.

it will work but you overspending on the Mobo. Something like the MSI Z97 G45 gaming mobo should already satisfied all your need at half the cost of the Maximus. Also, get a 4790k instead of a 4770k~

@MaltDew Get a 4790k instead, better thermals for overclocking.

Pick up a Maximus VII Ranger, ROG looks much cheaper price.

Would allow you to get an AX760 to keep with the color scheme.

Why wouldn't you?

Also by the time you need to SLI you're probably going to be better off buying a brand new single card anyway which is why most people that say they're going to SLI never do

@Willson94 But do the Maximus VII Hero have WiFi, or do I need a card for that. In that case, what WiFi-card should I choose?
