On board wi-fi?

I'm looking at the ASUS P9X79 motherboard and I'm wondering if it has On board wi-fi? If you know please reply

Get a dedicated card. On-board WiFi is pointless on anything but smaller form factor motherboards like mini-ITX and, in some cases, µATX.

this board have onboard WiFi its the same board as what Linus used on the 4K machine build

to a certain extend WiFi is useful if you hate LAN cables and trunking around your 2 or 3 story house

 

now many board makers use Intel or Broadcom WiFi AC cards which are pretty decent and you save a bit of money buying a separate WiFi card that is plug to your PCI-E slot or to one USB port.

I wasn't questioning the usefullness of WiFi. It certainly has its place and I use WiFi on my HTPC.

 

You're not necessarily saving money in all cases. There are many motherboards from ASUS and MSI that come in both WiFi and non-WiFi flavors, the latter of which, unsurprisingly, is cheaper. The motherboard manufacturers take into account all the features they implement when they put a price on their products, so you're going to pay for it regardless.
