VERY Bad Tracking --> Steelseries Rival

Go to solution Solved by Blecter,

I tried it on my table (100% rosewood). seems to track well on it, even though there are some tiny bumps in the wood.

.

Looks like you've found the problem. Old mouse pad doesn't like new mouse!

I just got a steelseries rival (from amazon.de) and i switched it out with my current 2 euro tesco mouse (which was pretty good) and now i am getting tracking issues. The mouse doesn't track sometimes, especially if i lift it up then put it down again (eg while gaming i am used to slightly lifting up my mouse to compensate for my rather small mousepad (same size as a qck mini). The mouse pad i have now is one that is just your average office mouse pad from my grandfather's company (DVO österreich). It is mostly green in colour with some blue and yellow.

I have already ordered a normal QCK, but that is still in shipping. I am now pretty frustrated.

Does it have to do with the mouse pad or do i have to send my mouse back?

change mousepad. Some mousepads just plain don't work.

Try the mouse on a different surface (for ex put a blank piece of paper down and try on there). That'll help you see if it's just the old mouse pad not working right with the mouse.

Never say it's not broken. Everything is broken. Why? Because everything needs MOAR POWA!
