Firstly it's football and I'm rooting for my country(greece), our team sucks though.

In Australia we call it Soccer because we have a very popular 'Football' (AFL) Sport that are sometimes more popular than the Football you think of.

In Australia we call it Soccer because we have a very popular 'Football' (AFL) Sport that are sometimes more popular than the Football you think of. 

Rugby might be more popular where you live but in terms of the whole world football I think is the biggest sport.
