Cannot set up a VPN

I have kind of a strange problem... I'm sixteen so obviously I still live with my parents and my dad is always worried about everything on the internet and has set up some kind of firewall on the router. The problem is that this thing is so "strict" that i can't even log in to steam (onlythe application in the browser it works) or play online games. until now i was able to set up a vpn (hotspot shield, cyber ghost) and throgh the vpn i could do those things. but last week we got a new wlan network and now i'm connected two a network (throgh LAN) called Realtek PCIe Family Controler. since then i can't connect to any vpn server (i tried several programs) which is really frustrating because i can't download any game (and steam summer sale is coming up) or play online games.

is there any way to still have access to everything? i really hope that you can help me!

So when you got a new ISP did you get one of their routers or do you have your own as the ISP's router might not support VPNs because they're all like 10 years old/block VPNs or your dad disabled VPN passthrough on your router at which point your screwed.

on my last PC and kinda on this one i dont use any anti virus OR firewall, my last computer i ran on same windows for 3 years and never got a single virus or walware
