I wanted to take the first step to bringing our kitchen into the 21st century by adding a snazzy Chrome OS based PC.  I'm going to use a 21.5" LG monitor that is 75mm x 75mm vesa mountable, the Asus chromebox, and I'm looking for a monitor arm to mount it all underneath a kitchen cabinet.  I'd like to have an articulating arm that allows us to reposition the screen around so that it can face different work surfaces in the kitchen and one that is also small enough to not be intrusive in a 29.5"(W) x 17.5"(H) area.  I've been looking at a few arms but I haven't found any that look very good yet or that I feel would be small enough to not stick out a lot.

Any suggestions?

Here are the monitor and chromebox I am using:

I assumed this was a cleverly titled Kitchen ad spam. But in all seriousness like @dizmo said for close to the same price you could get a tablet like a nexus 7/10 or a samsung tablet.

I've actually been thinking about installng some cheap AIO pc in my kitchen somewhere, maybe above the fridge or under a cabinet.  If you find any solution that works to mount yours out of the way keep us posted.

When I get it all set up I'll take some pictures and post them on here :)

I thought of that as well, but I wanted the bigger screen because it will also be used to stream media through Netflix, Youtube, etc.... We have an island counter that we eat at which is a little too far away from a small screen like a tablet.

You could buy a tablet and a monitor because they have the MHL adapters, or you can buy one of those android mini pc and plug it into a monitor. They're like $50

I was thinking touch screen because a keyboard and mouse in a kitchen environment isn't really ideal. Then again, I figured you'd be using it for recipes and such, not watching Youtube and Netflix.

You really can't stay disconnected for when you're eating or cooking?

What's the world coming to..

I haven't used Android that much so I'm not 100% sure on how a keyboard/mouse setup would work with it.  I know you can connect a bluetooth keyboard but what about a mouse?  I would also be worried about how a different resolution would look on a regular 1080p monitor, and lastly for the most part I can't stand mobile sites....*shudder*

I said ALSO, it will primarily be used for recipes and such.  I work during the night and sleep during the day so I don't get out to see movies much, so about once every week or two we watch a movie during a meal when I'm home but thanks for jumping to conclusions.

They have bluetooth keyboard/mouse combos, they also have micro usb to a regular usb port and Chrome will load non-mobile sites.

Do you have to do anything else to setup the keyboard and mouse, or do you just pair it with the tablet like any other bluetooth device?  I have a Nexus 7(2nd gen) that I've really only used as a viewing monitor for my DSLR, so I could definitely try that out.

For bluetooth keyboards and mice you just pair them for a keyboard sometimes they ask for you to type a certain code then hit enter on the keyboard.
