So I want to upgrade to 16g of ram from 8gb of ram but, I think I want to just get a whole new set up ram.

Is their any special thing to know when replacing ram other than just taking my old sticks out and plopping in new ones? Thanks

No.

Recommended RAM for your config is 2x8GB sticks of 1600MHz DDR3 CL9, Corsair Vengeance LP 1600 is perfect.

Agreed, it is pretty pointless to get 16GB unless you want to run VMs or do some video editing or other heavy editing based programs. Spend the ~£120 on a new SSD if you don't have one. This only applies if you are just gaming/doing light video editing. There is nothing special when installing RAM.
