I can't tell you how many times I loose my mind when someone uses it a word incorrectly. I mean come on, seriously, I literally have my mind wobbling loose in my skull. It's not securely attached. I'm sure other people have lost there minds to. In retrospect, it wasn't theirs anyhow. It was just at some other place that brains walked to.

No but seriously...I can't be the only one that reads words literally am I :(? I don't know how people read things (audibly) instead of "textually". I'm referring to the standard argument of "you know what he meant". It's so annoying sometimes when I have to read a word, then pause for half a second to change its meaning because the wrong word was used....

Does it make your loose you're mind?

incorrect word usage was on purpose :P

Oh man don't even get me started about how people say "stop being a grammar nazi". It's not even grammar. It's just basic English word usage. It's like if someone called a chair, a stool and complaining about that wrong word usage is being a grammar nazi.

It's funny because the OP had the same error.

I think Tea was deliberatelly using the 'wrong' word to show T.Vengeance he was guilty of exactly the thing he was 'whinging' about.

Then again it might have been deliberate on TVengeance's part.

EDIT :-  The only grammatical/lexicographical mistake which I generally bother to comment on is when people use "of" instead of "have".

Such as 'writing' Would of, Should of,  Could of instead of Should have, Would have Could have etc

Oh yeah definitely. That one is the worst by far.

I think no one here gets satire...

Once told it was satire I think most would 'get it'. However, as I've learned to my cost, satire does not 'come across' very well in  a purely text medium.  There's bound to be a 'this word/phrase was satire' 'smiley'.

You should just ignore it, especially since you obviously know what they actually meant.

Being an Asian, I hear these words quite often; ' That's mean...' LOL

I can't stop smiling everytime I hear that in a conversation.

Care to explain why that is funny?

It should be 'that means..'. I'm not talking about mean=cruel.

So someone clarifying, possibly even patronisingly, still fail to see how that's funny.

Because it is wrong? It's not like I'll be laughing or anything. It's all in the context of the conversation. Sometimes even my lecturers use the word wrongly. And we love to use the word 'actually' almost everytime we start talking/explaining something.

@atrash

Sorry that was meant to be a 'bit' of a joke. As in :-

Patronising, that means to talk down to.

Not at all funny especially in a text only medium.  After all you (TINY) are not inside my head.
