Hello, I'm new to the forum community  so I'm sure I'm posting an issue that someone else has already had and has been solved *hoping*.

Anyways I am having a pretty big issue of getting my 4 7950s to run in quad crossfire. I've tested and used all 4 cards for a while on 2 different motherboards so I know they are all working. I recently decided to consolidate into one computer (why not right?). So i went out and got my hands on an Asus Maximus V Extreme motherboard. Updated the bios and plugged the cards in. Everything is recognized in bios and without quad crossfire enabled windows recognizes each of the four cards. I installed the latest drivers and installed the newest CCC, not beta*.

The problem is when I activate crossfire for all 4 graphics cards, 3 graphics cards or even 2 while all 4 are plugged into the board windows will freeze solid within 10 seconds. If I only have two cards plugged into the board and run crossfire everything is just fine though.

Some people might say its a psu issue but I've got a corsair 1200i platinum and ive been using it for a while without any issues.

At this point I could live with dual crossfire and find some other purpose for the 2 remaining pcie slots but I'd really like to see this dream come true.

Yeah I did that when I installed the motherboard

Well I reformatted my computer and did a clean install of CCC and all of my video drivers. Now my computer wont even do dual crossfire with no other cards on the board. I bought insurance for the board through microcenter. Guess I will be stopping by on monday although I bought the last one in stock...
