You cant put a waterblock on cards with a non-reference PCB.

You can take the cooler off of all GPUs.

You cannot have a waterblock at the same time as an air cooler.

You cant put a waterblock on cards with a non-reference PCB. False

You can take the cooler off of all GPUs.

You cannot have a waterblock at the same time as an air cooler. False

ok 1st point I meant a reference waterblock, the ones made for the stock cards. I see that some manufacturers have started making some custom waterblocks for specific cards, but still its not for all cards.

3rd point i would like you to show me a waterblock and heatsink in one. We are talking about non-reference stuff here, so a GTX poseidon does not count because that is a reference cooler, not something you buy apart.

Ahem.

That is not a waterblock. That is a graphics card. Show me where i can buy the cooler by itself with no graphics card attached. There are NO aftermarket waterblocks that you can add to an air cooled GPU. If you read what the OP said, he wants to buy a waterblock and add it to his card without removing the stock heatsink. And you cant have the heatsink and waterblock at the same time unless it is a custom designed GPU cooler (that only comes on a specific graphics card) such as the ROG poseidon. Obviouslu you cannot buy the poseidon's cooler without buying the graphics card. Understand?

Your statements weren't specific enough.

You can buy a universal block, add your own sinks, and add fans to that if you want.

You can do that on virtually any GPU. If you mean reference waterblocks again, then there's no point in either of our posts.

I think what the OP mean was to add a waterblock without removing the stock heatsink.

Well, in that situation, duct tape, liquid nails, or double sided tape in enough quantities will work.

Of course, that says nothing about performance.

Probably still perform better than the reference AMD cooler :P
