Absolutely stunning game that has really aged well.

This game is now abandonware, so i picked up a copy, i am unsure if i am allowed to leave a link to it?

Anyway, really works well, 60FPS, 800x600 24x EDSSAA.

Just thought i would share as it is a brilliant classic.

 

 

 

 

Ok, for those who are new to this game, it will spit out 2 errors upon opening the Turok .EXE, just go to video configuration , enable all quality settings.

Choose either, Nvidia RIVA 128, or ATI RAGE Pro.
It does not matter what GPU you have.
Tested with Radeon HD 5850 1GB.

All AA options can be forced Via CCC or NVCP.

 

This game i only tested on my Sandy Bridge emulator machine.

It is a wrapper for Windows 7 & 8 machines, it tricks games like Turok that take use of 3DFX into thinking you are using a 3DFX card, it also enables massive resolutions, a must have.

Install as normal, then head to your start menu, find Nglide under installed applications, then run the configurator, set to your desired resolution, then run Turok, you will now have a Full HD screen .

Turok also requires you to use the CD for in game music, there are ways around this without having the actual CD, but due to Abandonware being a grey area, i cannot give out specifics.
