Hi! I'm looking to upgrade/replace my current build with a mini-ITX one. For the most part I've decided what I want to buy (see the list below) and the parts I'll reuse.
What I want is a gaming rig that is good looking, quite small and quiet. My main problem is that to use the H100i I have to remove the ODD slot, and then I can't have the Bitfenix Recon like I want.
So I've been looking at alternatives like the H60 and some of the Noctua air coolers, but making this all fit together is a bit beyond me, so some input on this would be appriciated.

You do not need 2400mhz memory. 1600 or 1866mhz is fine for gaming.

Get a 4790k instead.

Please any other PSU than the CX series. For example RM or X-series from Seasonic.

1866Mhz RAM will be fine.

You could go with the Noctua ND-H15 and not put top fans, it's as good as the H100i. The unique horizontal mounting in the Prodigy will avoid added stress on the motherboard due to weight of the cooler.

Maybe a 200mm fan for front intake instead, Cooler Master Megaflow.

i7 4790K if you want to wait a couple of months providing you can get it for the same price as the 4770K.

Obviously these are just suggestions, your build is nice as it is too.

Why? The CX series are great for the price.

BS, I've been running one for the most of a year and if your PC is on the ground there's no way you will hear it.

On the ground? You mean where PC's go to suffocate from dust right? :P Obviously noise is a very subjective matter bruh. If you're not bothered by it, more power to you.

I like to keep a clean room, also my PSU is mounted vertically (TJ-07). Noise is a very objective matter but I'm quite obsessive about it. With my computer on the floor and me sitting at my desk the CX powersupply is inaudible.

And why would you do that? Besides I'm not the kind of person to get offended, but I don't like you hijacking my thread spewing bullshit.

Yeah I know I don't really need it, but the price difference is only 16~17 bucks from 1600 MHz memory and is equaly priced with 1866 MHz memory so I figured it is more than worth the money.

Seasonic looks good, but it's waaay out of my budget.

I friend of mine have the NH-D14, mind telling me the difference between the two? And I'm assuming Noctua pre-applies thermal compound, should I just stick with that or buy Artic Silver or something?

It's a little over 30 bucks more to get the 4790K than the 4770K in the shop I'll be ordering from, but my plan was to get this now. Besides I've used a weak Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition for the last 3 years so a 4770K will do just fine.

I do too, but it's such a bother :P Sure is, as long it's low-pitched noise I don't really mind though, but since I'm building a new rig I want to make it as quiet as possible without using too much money.

Yeah of course the 4770K is fine too. It'll perform as good as a H100i, comes with two A15 PWM fans out of the box and all while having less hassle and moving parts versus an AIO. It's compatible with more RAM than the D14. In terms of performance it's quieter achieving the same temps as the D14 with one fan and slight better temps with two fans. http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cooling/2014/05/01/noctua-nh-d15-review/2

lmao thread and all related posts got moved over to A NEW THREAD that wasn't spammed in a "Tech News and Reviews" topic thread right?

Because I mean yea, this is your thread after a mod did his work that you could have done yourself if you actually read and didn't immediately signup and post your "question"...so don't act like it was your thread in the first place.

Alright, looks good thanks. I really don't want to wait until the 23rd for the shop to get them in stock though.

It seems like I'll have to drop the rear fan too using the Noctua.

Well try not to be an idiot and spam your question on the latest topic in the Tech News and Reviews forum and actually look for a sub forum that's related to your question to place your topic. Good day noob :)

I've been doing some more research on cooling and I think the NZXT Kraken X40 would be a good choice. Mostly because I don't like air cooling and because it's a 140mm radiator so I won't have to sacrifice the Recon.

Edit: Updated part list with my PCPartPicker list
