Why should they offer it at a lower price than the gtx 780 if it's more powerful?

Nobody would buy a 780 anymore.

(Unless this is supposed to mean cheaprr than the 780 back when it was released)

I'm still waiting for the next series of R9's... I love NVidia, but they really suck at surround and displayport. -_-

I'm probably gonna get two GTX 880 ti's to replace my 7970's. We'll see if nVidia can beat AMD at 4K gaming. Also the performance difference will dictate my buying decision.

Nvidia has never gotten the right amount of Vram so the answer is no

They fucked up with the 580's 1.5GB, the 680's 2GB and the 780Ti's 3GB.

AMD supposedly is going ultra-super-mega-pow power consumption and heat, like less than Maxwell supposedly.

FANBOY OF: PowerColor, be quiet!, Transcend, G.Skill, Phanteks

FORMERLY FANBOY OF: A-Data, Corsair, Nvidia

DEVELOPING FANBOY OF: AMD (GPUS), Intel (CPUs), ASRock

I don't even CARE about that part too much. I'll drop it underwater if I need to. I just want NVidia to stop doing things like PhysX that are exclusive so I can happily go AMD. >.<

the VRAM part should be very important for you

Nvidia never puts enough VRAM in anything

ever

no 4k for Nvidia without EVGA specials or a Titan Ultraviolet or some crazy shit like that

I was thinking of getting a 780(ti) 6gb since newer titles such as watch dogs eat vram like nobody's buisness. Should i wait for maxwell 880? It has been rumoured that it would have 2560 cuda cores and 4gb of vram which is less than the 780ti in both scenarios. tell me what your thoughts are it would be much appreciated.

I wouldn't trust that article, the author spelt lose as loose. 880 could possibly be cheaper than the release price of the 780, but that will be all, the 780 at the current trend will probably still be cheaper than the 880 at it's release date. Just speculation of course.
