2 Way SLI 780

Go to solution Solved by Oshino Shinobu,

So I'll go with the RM850 You are sure that it is enough for 2 way sli

And If my System will need 900V And my power supply can deliver only 850 Will it Fry my pc parts?

Yep. I have two, more power hungry cards on a 860w PSU and they run just fine.

I'm buying a new pc and I want to be able to do 2 Way SLI And I Dont know how big the power supply should be enough With some head room of -+150V

the pc I'll be getting:

Intel Core i7 4770K 3.5Ghz 8MB L3 Cache s1150

Noctua NH-D14 CPU Cooler

Asus SABERTOOTH Z97 MARK 1

G.Skill Aegis 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz

Gigabyte GTX780 OC

Seagate 2TB Barracuda Sata III

Samsung 840 Pro Series MZ-7PD128BW 128GB SSD SATA III

LG DVD±RW GH24NS x24 Black SATA OEM

Corsair RM750 750W Gold Active PFC 12cm Fan PSU

Corsair Obsidian 550D Mid-Tower Case No PSU

Microsoft Windows 8.1 English 32Bit / 64Bit Retail

Noctua NF-F12 PWM 120mm Case Fan 1500RPM(x2)

How much power will this system take With 1 GTX780(WF3)

And how much with 2 GTX780(WF3)

If my PSU Can't handle the Voltages that my parts are needing will it frie tham like my system needs 800V but my psu Can handle only 750?

I Should go with the RM850 For 2 Way SLI Or for one card

How much headroom will I have?

Will I be able to over clock my CPU And GPU ?

If you only get 1 card then 750 is more than enough

if you plan to get 2 cards and OC then the 850 makes more sense

For a single card, 750w is overkill. For dual cards, 750w will do, but 850w is a better idea for future expansion and overclocking.

Since you want to be able to do 2 way SLI get the RM850.

Your system wont need 900 watts.. ever, and no it would not fry anything

With two way SLI you'll never need 900W.

Ok thx One last question How much headroom Will I have in 2 way GTX780?(100V?)

About 100 watts which gives room for extra drives/usb devices etc etc

Also you want to be running your PSU at about 80% for best efficiency

Desktop - Corsair 300r i7 4770k H100i MSI 780ti 16GB Vengeance Pro 2400mhz Crucial MX100 512gb Samsung Evo 250gb 2 TB WD Green, AOC Q2770PQU 1440p 27" monitor Laptop Clevo W110er - 11.6" 768p, i5 3230m, 650m GT 2gb, OCZ vertex 4 256gb,  4gb ram, Server: Fractal Define Mini, MSI Z78-G43, Intel G3220, 8GB Corsair Vengeance, 4x 3tb WD Reds in Raid 10, Phone Oppo Reno 10x 256gb , Camera Sony A7iii

About 100W+  Remember that a system isn't always running at full load either.

A single 780 will use <250W at full load, an overclocked i7 4770k at full load will never use more than 150W (way less, actually), all the rest will probably be <50W. Even if you stressed everything to the max (which you will never do in real life) and overclocked you would still be fine with a 750W PSU. For real world usage it is totally fine.
