overheating

so i have a mac mid 2010 and it recently started overheating after i played some league of legends game

is there any solution like a program to speed up the fans or something?

Mac OS is locked down in terms of speeding up the fans.

If it is no longer under warranty try changing the TIM but due to the design of the thing it may not be possible.

best bet, is to take it to an Apple store. Not best buy, not staples. The apple store.

Take it to an apple store and have them clean it it, that way it wont void any warranty and such.

is it expensive? i know how to clean a pc i did that to mine several times but the fact its a mac

Clean that ting out. I had a laptop that heated up so much it started melting components on the motherboard.

You under estimate macs you can take them apart.

You can remove the bottom panel to access the fan, it's really easy and all you need is a torx screw driver. Remove the 8 screws I believe it is and clean out the dust. Then slap it back together and it should work just fine,

Is it still under warrant in witch you bought? If so you might want to take it to the apple store and ask how much it would cost to have it cleaned on the insode

Taking it to the Apple store is pretty much your only option.
