R7 260X Crossfire

Is it a good idea to crossfire these two cards I mean i want to buy one now and later to add another one.I want it for 3D modeling gaming(will the crossfire be able to maxout the new games AC Unity most importantly) I'm on very low budget ($400-$450) And I can't afford more than R7 260X.It will be paired with Athlon II X4 760k. And can 500W psu handle two R7 260X ?

Just grab a 280 or 290 with 400-450.

Edit, it will be bottlenecked, but when you upgrade your CPU it will be better than 260x's

That'd be fine, I do 3D modeling on a Core 2 Duo Mobile from 2004-2006. Rendering 3D models is also more CPU dependent unless you use OpenGL.

No, grab a single faster card like a 280x/290 but your cpu is gonna be a major bottleneck even with a single 260 it will have a small one.

There will be a bottlneck with the 26X but i highley doudt you will even notice it. I have a older Phenom II X4 955 build lying around, and i have tested that build with a 7950 and the bottleneck is not even noticable with that CPU.

My whole sistem will be for $450 :D not the gpu I want to throw another R7 260X in the future and more ram and stuff...

The sistem will be something like

Athlon II X4 760K

R7 260X

1TB WD Caviar Blue

i dont know for the motherboard

and for now 500W psu (if it can handle the two R7 260X)

+ 4gigs of ram now and 4 more in the future

Is it good is there going to be bottlenecking ?

Soo... the crossfire option is bad ?

no its not. It will perform similarly to Gtx 770. It wont affect modelling, unless you are dealing with models that are not intended for games ( very high poly count )

260x is amazing deal for money, you can get one for like 130$. i saw today r9 270 actually going for that kind of money.

cpu isnt the best at all, but since you are on extremelly limited budget, you will definitly have to invest some money in future to get most of the cards performance
