Audio Engine A2+ vs A2?

What's the difference between the 2? Is it just the onboard DAC?

I found a website that compares the two, and that seems like the only difference but I wanted to double check.

I found a used pair of a2's for $150 and may get them, might try to see if the guy will go cheaper.  I don't really need the DAC, I could just use the line-out on my ODAC.

Correct, it's just the DAC. You definitely don't need the +'s if you already have a DAC. Note, the A2's certainly aren't good enough to produce the subtle improvement of an ODAC over half decent/decent on board audio anyway...

I already have an o2+odac, so I wouldn't be spending extra on it luckily.

My onboard is really screwed up with headphones, but my speakers sound fine for some reason.  I think the A2's would be a giant leap compared to my crappy logitech z506's lol.

Although someone bought my 780 in the classifieds, and I just ordered LCD-2's and I probably won't even get the speakers now.   Maybe when my setup is done I'll get some A5's or something along those lines.

Thanks for confirming btw!
