NEC announced one of the first (if not the first) laptops with Haswell CPUs. There are two products in this lineup- high end laptop with 1080p screen and lower end one (1366x768 resolution). They will cost around 2000$ and around 1900$ respectively. Both products are intended for the professional market and have screens with touch support.

I can't wait for Haswell but that is too expensive, I can get a current gaming laptop with a Core i5 and a GTX 660M for about $1,400 here.

I understand that this is brand new. I understand that if one has a laptop with identical specs to a computer, the computer will be considerably more expensive. This is way overpriced.

Anything NEC makes would usually be considered "overpriced" by us; the general consumer market is not really their target.  They usually make things with professionals in mind, and you know how enterprise products always get marked up  ;)

I hope they don't get marked up for the sake of being marked up, I hope they are actually worth the extra because they are superior in some way other than their price lol

Seems very overpriced. Guess have to wait for other manufacturers to make a laptop with a better price point.

Apple announced new MacBooks with Haswell CPUs about three weeks ago.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

I hope we will have 1920x1080, i3/i5, 8GB, and SSD(120GB) or hard drive(1TB) for $600 or less. If it's not around this price then I'll just wait for an older generation laptop to go on sale. I'm sick of this no 1080p screen stuff going on with laptops and it needs to be changed.
