Hi, I was looking at the Razer Kraken 7.1 and they look nice and have all the features I want but some people complain about them braking and the wire making noises when it rubs against your clothes, does anyone have this headset should I get it and I don't have many choises due to my country not having many headsets, I really want this headset but I don't want it to break in the first month so please someone tell me if they really do brake easily or were other people not careful with them.

It's a gamer headset. Gaming headsets just break fast, it's a fact. They probably will last you 1, maaaaybe two years. You're much better off getting a cheap (but better than most headset mics) microphone and a decent pair of headphones for the same price.

I love StarCraft

They can last quite a while if you are careful with them. All comes down to the user being careful.

In any case I personally don't think they sound good at all. At their same price I would go for the HyperX Cloud Headset. A few of my friends have it and like it quite a bit, and the mic sounds good as well.

+1 for HyperX Cloud.  Not the best of the best, but damn hard to beat for $99 compared to other Gaming cans in the same price bracket.  their Beyerdynamic like design helps a lot too.

Razer surround headsets sound like garbage, if you are going to get a headset, look at other brands like Steelseries, preferably go for one that has no fancy surround sound tricks.

I have used several different headsets and recently did a headset search of my own.

I wanted to replace my Siberia V2's because I had grown tired of them and I was just looking for something new. Long story short, I tried several different headsets, and finally settled on just replacing my old Siberia V2's with a new pair.

The sound you get out of them is superior to just about every headset in the category that is sub $150. They are comfortable and they are durable.

Have you guys even read my post I said I don't have many choises in my country, only that siberia v2 that you recommended.

People are just trying to give you some options and opinions. What sort of options do you have?

If not many, perhaps look at some headphones and buy a mic separately. People with lots of options take this road.

I'm sorry but not even mentioning what country and what's available doesn't really help. People are just throwing out things that are better but we have no idea if you can get them since you don't tell us what your country actually is. There has to be more than just Razer available. And you asked if it's bad and if it will break, they answered that already.

I was planning on giving it a try, but I found a new Siberia V2 USB for $63 and couldnt pass it up.

Have you used the RIG much?

I accidentally won a pair in an eBay auction. They sound good, but they've still got typical gaming headset caveats like being designed for smaller heads. I thought they were decently comfy, and my 8-year-old brother said to me, "Woah these are really comfy." but I can surely see some people having issues. Build is a little plasticky - compared to other headsets it's a tad above par, imo.

Anywhosle, mostly just wanted add your experience to my other-people's-experiences-of-various-headphones pool of knowledge, butut if you haven't tried it you haven't tried it.
