My First Remixed File

Hey All,

I got an Ender 3 V3 SE a while back and I struggled at the beginning to try to make my own models, reverting to finding models online to print. Now that I've upgraded the hotend and got new plates for it I felt that it was time for me to get over the learning curve with blender to start modifying models to suit my needs. My first remixed print was for a LTT water bottle underdesk mount that didn't have any holes to mount it. I'm pretty proud of making this model and through remixing this one I'm ready to start making my own from scratch when needed. Ironically once I posted the model to printables as a remix, the original added mounting holes but in a different position. Are you using blender as is or installing a plugin? Blender is great for organic shapes but not ideal for you need to design around constraints

 

I recommend FreeCAD as it's open-source and has become fairly easy to work with. The learning curve is a bit frustrating as it is with Blender but it's a great tool.

 

Well done for making your own models! Many people never start doing that.

Excellent!  I haven't delved into making my own models or even tweaking existing ones, so this is fantastic to me.
