Windows will take around 20GB, Then whatever RAM you have will be used as a size for your page file. (so if you have 8GB of RAM you will have an 8GB page file). Then Windows is messy and creates lots of temp files and likes to store recent updates in the WinSXS folder. So that will grow. But yeah still plenty of room.

The only reason I ask this, because on my friends laptop the OS section takes up 70 GB. (wat) I said it shouldn't be that big, but I dont know why.Any idea?

Im not sure, if I can afford 120 GB, so 250 is not a real option :S

You should be okay with 120GB if you're careful with what goes on there, but it's not ideal. You can probably get a few games on there, depending on their size.

EDIT: Also, what's your budget? Might be able to find a larger SSD within it if you're lucky

My BF4 takes around 35GB, so it will eat a lot of room.

For less than $120 you can get a 240GB SSD.

You will need to get him to move his User folder to his secondary HDD. By default anything in your Library (desktop/documents/movies/pictures  folders etc.. will be place in the C drive). Moving them is not hard you just need to locate the folder and right click > properties >  location > (move to where you want it).
