Hi, good morning great friends and community of this lovely place. I bring this small issue i been having to you for help. Since i got 16 Pro i been having issues with the recording videos on it with external mics and it bothers me because i use this phone to make my youtube videos. And i would love to grow and not have people complaint about crackling and distorted sounds that’d ruin a good video. I tried everything aside from resetting the phone which i’d rather avoid if i can. Using 3.5mm mics, wireless usb mic. Through hubs, directly connected to the phone and nothing and to prove that its not the mics i have tested them on other phones and pcs and work fine. So at this point I don’t know what else to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated it. Noted this has been constantly happening through all the iterations of ios 26 mind you

You've tried the same mics hooked up the same way to other iphones recording using the same app and they don't have the same crackle? If so, then the differing factor would be either the software or the hardware. If it's the software, than a factory reset should fix the issue, but it's possible there's just a busted DAC on your phone.

And how would i go about fixing it? Also there seems to be a bug on ios 26 where the os doesnt adjust the gain on mics even if manually adjusted so I don’t know if that is whats causing the issue

Fixing corrupted OS would mean just factory reset.
Fixing busted hardware would mean replacing the phone.
