I’m trying to set up a Supermicro H11SS‑i Rev2 server with a preinstalled AMD EPYC 7302 CPU and a 750 W PSU, but it won’t complete POST and the IPMI interface never becomes reachable. The system powers on, the fans spin up then slow repeatedly, and the BMC heartbeat LED cycles through patterns that indicate the host never fully initializes. A keyboard plugged into USB shows Caps Lock working, suggesting the CPU has some activity, but the fans continue to ramp up and down and the board never stabilizes. I’ve cleared CMOS, used only one DIMM in the C1 slot, ensured the 8‑pin EPS is correctly connected, and disconnected other peripherals, but there’s still no successful POST and IPMI requests time out despite the IPMI port’s activity LED blinking.
