I have an MSI mag 274qrf qd e2 with a 6700xt and the factory cable that came with the monitor. I had an issue after a windows reinstall that i didnt have hdr supported. I tried so many fixes (color management, color profiles, CRU, unplug monitor for 2 minutes, etc. It happened during these. HDR didnt work, however i reset adrenaline software to factory settings, and there is was. HDR 1440p 180Hz. But now I'm stuck with this. This did not happen after HDR was fixed.

Thank you for reading, and for your help!

So the display is in 10-bit mode necessary for HDR?

I'll be honest, thats an edge-lit LCD, DisplayHDR 400 (fake HDR) and has no local dimming at all. It can't actually display a proper HDR image and you'd be better off leaving it in 8-bit SDR mode.

That looks like issues you'd get if this was a BGR subpixel without messing with ClearType settings (your monitor is RGB subpixel layout so it's quite odd you'd have this on a fresh Windows install). You probably want to go through ClearType's configuration wizard to see if that will get that figured out.

This happened to be the issue, and turning off ClearType fixed it!
