M.2 install?

How hard is it to install a M.2 in my MB? Don't have to take anything apart right?

Some motherboards have a shield of sorts over the M.2 slots, so that's a whole screw or two.

 

Otherwise no, it's easier than writing the question was for you.

Which M.2 slot ? 

What kinda build you have?

 

First M.2 slot requires taking off heatsinks (and the act of plugging in the drive itself), which may or may not need a tear down of the pc, depending on how cramped everything are.

Second M.2 slot is at the back of the motherboard, sooo... yeah

Besides that, my Video card is huge I can only get to 1 out of 4 m.2 slots without removing it.

Is any of this difficult?

 

Or do you just buy a drive, figure out where to install it, and then.... install it?

 

They're computers, one of the easiest things on the planet to work on.
