After reading this thread, I have no idea which is a better buy

1.asus has supposed crappie rma/support. Evga doesn't.

2.asus has more general respect that I've seen in forums.

3.evga's SC beats Asus in Linus' and Slick's benchmarking.

4.asus' has backplate and huge heat pipes.

Linus! Could you clear this up for us?

Look,Asus has better looks,and it also has lower temperatures(only 1-2C) and they make less noise ( only 1-2db) But you can overclock evga more. Also Asus has blackplate which is kind of nice. I also thought which one to buy and I went for Asus. It is better deal. If you planning on watercooling later or overclocking it go with evga. If not go with Asus.

We went different routes my friend. I went with EVGA, mainly to have the option of their Step Up program because of the seemingly imminent release of the 800 series.
