Does the lifespan of a microSD card decrease every time a file is deleted/written, or does its lifespan and performance start to decline after a certain number of deletes/writes?

 

I have a Kingston 128GB Canvas Go! Plus.

 

Do Kingston Canvas Go! Plus microSD cards undergo any post-manufacturing testing to ensure they are good and working? If I buy several units, is it necessary to open the blister pack and test them all because they haven't been tested beforehand?

They're all tested.  It's part of QA.

 

Every time wears a little bit, it doesn't just wait for a certain amount and then drop.

Regardless what was tested when or not, there is still a chance of a fault occurring at any time. Also there are some risks with fake cards around.

Personally I'd run the above on every new removable flash storage before using it. It will verify the whole capacity can be written to and read correctly. It will use up one write cycle, but to me that's worth it to know it is good.

 

I've tried to look up and never got a good or clear answer if SD cards in general have wear levelling or not. If you ever suspect a data corruption event, test the card again.

Oh and do NOT put the SD card near the hard drives you're storing long term either.  They HATE each other and will wage race wars.

Electronic devices in general manufactured in China and sold on AliExpress undergo any post-manufacturing testing to ensure they are functioning properly? Are all units tested or only some? Is there any seal that proves the unit was tested after manufacturing?

This is the nature of NAND flash, yes.
