Downloads slow as hell?

I have no idea what’s going on with my downloads on Steam. I have 1 gig internet that is very consistent and has little to no drops according to packet loss tests. It goes back and forth between 10 minutes all the way up to a few days to download a single game. I’m downloading to an MSI M371 on this one in particular but it also does it on my other nvme. I have 500gb of free storage before starting this download…. No idea what’s going on here man.

Also worth noting: cache has been cleared, speed test results attached. 
have had no luck in trying anything so far. Driving me insane when all my buddies are playing games together and it takes me quite literally all night to download a single game.

Thats going to be the servers you're downloading from. Since you hit 109MB/s which is very close to the 1gbps rate. 

 

 

1MB/s = 8Mbps that your ISP sells you. 

 

108x8 = 864Mbps

 

Sometimes when I find my Download speeds drop on Steam, I pause the download for about 10 seconds then restart it and it zooms right back up.

yeah, the issue is that I’ve been downloading Marvel Rivals for 4 hours now and I’m still only at like 60%. I can pause, unpause, etc, but nothing seems to work. The “estimated time remaining” goes from ~6 minutes all the way up to 12 hours, if not longer (saw it reach 2 days 20 hours once). It’s just awfully irritating.

Try another server. Usually like Tokyo or HK are best (I'm in EU btw)
