get a good set of headphones then get something like a modmic to attach to it... IMO your not gonna get "good" sound out of a traditional headset... or find one that'll last as long as a decent set of headphones.. (buy used... headphones from the 90s will still sound as good as new ones...)

Hi,

I have the ROG Strix Go 2.4, Sound pretty mediocre, and start to fall apart.

 

I'm looking into the 400$ CAD Range. Use mostly for gaming, surround, need MIC, need to be wireless, but want a good sound. More base for sure.

I feel like there is so many different headset to choose from. 

Any suggestion?

It's also EXTREMELY important that the headphones are comfortable as you're going to be wearing them for an extended period of time,. My recommendation is to try as many as you can before choosing one. If it's not comfortable after about 2 minutes, what's it going to feel like after 60?

 

And, of course, sound quality also matters.
