Hey guys,

So basically I needed some desperate help in choosing the right processor with my first build. I was thinking that what processor was better, the i7-4820k or the 4770k and that if at the current time LGA 1150 would have the advantage or the LGA 2011. I would be using this for some heavy duty gaming, video editing and lots of Photoshop.

Thanks

4770K will be more than enough. You will not gain more than 2-5% performance by choosing 4820K over 4770K. Unless you are dealing with professional shooting equipment, lots of RAW footage/ photographs on a daily basis... your performance gain by moving to LGA2011 will not justify the initial cost which you can use to purchase better GPU, more/faster storage and software.

If you're going 2011 then you would be stupid to get a quad core, the whole point of 2011 is to get six cores and more PCIe lanes. A 4770k would be a lot cheaper and suit you fine if you're using up to two GPU's.
