jelouuu guys, i have a question will the intel i7 14700k bottleneck the nvidia rtx 5070? for 1080p and 1440p only? in every setting to max, like doom eternal at max (i think it is nightmare), how much bottleneck?

-PD: and is that cpu a high end what it was released? and the gpu too?

You can't put a number with bottleneck because it's a loose term and

The CPU was high-ish end (at least on the higher end of the line-up) but the GPU is mid-range.

I'd get a 7600 or a 9600x and put the extra funds towards a better GPU like a 9070xt

I edit my posts for so if you saw a typo.... no you didn't, you are just crazy

Not something we can put a number to and have it mean anything. You might just lose a couple of fps. Or it might be unplayable due to stutters or frame time issues. Best case scenario: you find a benchmark of the game with the specific components you're looking at.

In many cases higher graphical settings and the resulting lower fps tend to reduce CPU load, but that's no longer universally true. For example RT/PT also put more work on the CPU (to update the BVH). It depends on how much the game engine stresses the CPU with tasks other than just moving data towards the GPU.

you said it was high-ish end

Which means it's towards the high-end, just not the absolute best. Which is quite the opposite of "not high end"

No bottleneck whatsoever.

If you think it was high end, why did you ask?

14700K was 2nd only to the 14900K in that generation, you know this.

Also, you know that neither will bottleneck the other.

Are you looking to get those parts, or just asking for info sake?  There are other CPU's that are better and cheaper for a set use case.

No. It's fine. Only in specific scenarios you will see a CPU bottleneck, like BeamNG with 64 cars of AI traffic. For most use cases there is no bottleneck to worry about.
