I have an old Dell Optiplex 5050 Micro with i7-6700T

 

Any recommended software for DIY karaoke, and also has support for popular songs?  I know we can just use YouTube, but I prefer to keep it within the system as much as possible. 

 

Also, should I go for a bigger storage drive?

Linux itself doesn't need much storage. It'll come down to how many songs you have and how large these files are, on average.
