Graphics ram?

Hello i have thought about how much vram you need on a graphics card to make it display 3 monitors. i will maybe be using surround i dont think so, because i will be using it for a flight simulator.

On low-texture settings. 4GB would be worth it in the end.

2gb is fine for 1080p in most games

3gb is fine for surround but 4gb is better

3/4gb card doesnt mean a 4gb gt610 is enough tho. We are talking 780/290 here

Vram doesnt add up in SLI.

2x 2gb cards are still 2gb.

When sli or cross fire you dont get 4gb my adding two 2gb cards you get the memory of you smallest cards

with 3 screens gaming i used 2-3gb of Vram bf4 ultra

If you stretch that just a little bit more you could get an Aftermarket R9 290 which would destroy everything on 1080p an surround would also be not that much of a deal for it.

I suggest an r9 280x if you can get it for that price, it depends on where you live. It has 3gb of memory and enough power to drive 3 monitors at medium/high settings. A gtx 770 3gb should do it too, but make sure you don't get the 2gb version as it would bottleneck the setup.

Yeah but a 280x (as suggested before) will do a much better job.
