Windows 11 Search bar broken.

Hey all, so recently my search bar on the desktop has just been a grey box and nothing appears when I search.  I can type, however, its just a blank grey box.  Has anyone ever had this happen or knows a fix?  Ive tried everything I can find online but nothing has worked.

Assuming 'everything' includes a restart of your computer, you may want to try to fix image corruption by opening a terminal as administrator and typing:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Correct, ive tried restarting, restoring the search indexing, restarting the search function in task manager among other things.  Ill give this a shot though, thanks!

Unfortunately that hasnt worked either

Apparently this was/is a problem with one of the Windows updates
