Today i bought 2x8 memory ram Corsair LPX 2400mhz profile to upgrade to 48 GB of ram....but something is weird in my system ,and i don't understand what happen.I have 6x8GB slot of ram occupied on the motherboard with same and identical ram Corsair lpx 2400mhz,but windows tell me i have only 32 GBinstalled,and program CPU-Z show me all of 6 slot ram with a total of 48 GB installed.I planned to buy another 2x8GB of same memory type to upgrade to 64GB of ram in the future,but i don't understand why not show 48 GB installled for the moment? :((
What happen?
cpu-z tell me i have 48GB installed and windows +gadget show me i have only 32GB installed.
My motherboard is Asus Rog Strix X299-XE Gaming

The memory i bought is possible to be damaged or?

Just because you bought the same ram doesnt mean its still the exact same kit hardware wise or it will work with an existing kit.

 

This is quite common when you keep mixing kits and eventually this happens.

 

If a cmos reset doesnt helpthen its most likely just incompatible with your current kit
