I know that an APU is a CPU and a graphics card in one but i want to know is there a point puting in a graphics cards and see improvement in performence?

In my curent pc i have a AMD A6-6400k APU with AMD Radeon HD 8470D graphics:)

You would notice improved performance in games and such

the GPU performance of an APU is very low end. a mid range GPU would be a big boost. You will reach a severe bottleneck using a very high end GPU though

Yes, you will see performance benefits in some games. But in general you are better off buying a mid range GPU like an R7 260X and just running it by itself

yes you can see improvements,

but bare in mind that your apu isn't a very strong cpu so I would advise against dropping a ton of cash on a high end gpu. Maybe like a 750ti or something

At that point, no need for dual graphics

Your CPU is (at least that's what I got from some benchmarks) almost as fast a a 750k. That is an ok CPU and you can definitely pair a mid range card with this CPU.
Up to the r9 270X is the highest I would go, anything above will probably be bottlenecked by the CPU.
But you will definitely see a big performance increase by putting a dedicated GPU in your system.
