ok then

Just get the 212 if you are going to go WC in a few months and dont overclock...however a 212 in a build like that is abit like running a supercar on cooking oil.

If you're not going to overclock and would go liquid later, a 212 Evo should be able to hold back the temps of a 4930K.

It'll be just below the TJunction, but possible

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X - CPU Cooler: Deepcool Castle 240EX - Motherboard: MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC

RAM: 2 x 8GB Corsair Vengeance Pro RBG 3200MHz - GPU: MSI RTX 3080 GAMING X TRIO

why should i overclock the 4930k o_o

If you are going watercooling why wouldn't you overclock? That's literally the point of watercooling lol. I mean don't OC with the 212 and keep stock clocks for abit then when you get watercooling overclock

i mean why should i overclock it before watercooling it... and i am not even sure if it is worth it the extra cost to watercool it.

It's definitely worth it to watercool if you're overclocking. Lower temperatures = higher stable overclocks.

i know. i want to overclock as much as possible, which is way i am watercooling. while aircooling though, BAD idea, especially with this type of powerful cpu

It probably is a bad idea with your CPU but with a NH-D14 and a bit of luck in the CPU lottery you can get a i7-4770K to 4.7 easily at a decent 70 C. My point being OC'ing on a air cooler isn't totally batsh*t crazy.
