why tf do Monitors over R15000 or 700 usd not include speakers

If you're serious about a display then you're serious about audio. Monitor speakers are universally pretty terrible and have no business on high end displays.

You're not entirely wrong but there are some differences. Physical size means far larger and therefore effective speakers can be designed in and TV's have always had speakers.

i can understand it if they are going for a super slim build and it becomes a problem with a ps5 or switch, it's a niche case and most monitors do come with an audio out.

The keyword here is cheap. People who want good audio likely have good speakers already, so the built-in ones would just be a waste. And if you're fine with crap audio, spending an additional $10 on speakers shouldn't hurt if you can spend $700 on a monitor. And they'd probably still sound better.

If I'm buying a good quality monitor, I'd rather have all of my money go towards making it a better screen, rather than adding stuff that's ultimately not worth it anyway. Most people also tend to prefer monitors with as little bezel as possible.

TVs are typically bought as an all-in-one device, so speakers aren't just added in as an afterthought. They're also usually larger than a computer monitor, which provides more room, which allows for more decent speakers.

They're called a monitor for a reason and not a TV though. Also I'd rather have none than garbage. You'd usually just get regular ones or headset.

Can easily get any cheap speakers that would be better than anything integrated. In general monitors don't have them, some do most won't.

there are monitors with speaker like

dell ultrasharp you can choose to have speakers

but that's bad choice if you care a minimum quality

and yes adding costs adding the space needed for speakers... that's no smart choice

i use headphones (quality ones) with quality DAC 🙂
