5080 on 4.0 riser

I've recently purchased a Lian Li Sup01 case and have an RTX 5080 that I'm trying use inside of it. However, while it recieves power, I can't get it to display out. i bought a 5.0 riser and I'm running into the same problem. Any idea on how to fix or get around this? The included riser cable would be preffered, but I can make it work without it.

Could be a few things as adding risers is prone to problems. 

 

Either the riser is just faulty, you might need to force Gen4 in the motherboard, or the GPU is faulty. 

 

I'd start by forcing Gen4 for that slot and see what happens. I'd also try the GPU without the riser.

In general, a 4.0 riser should work just fine. I'm using one with my 5080, and my motherboard is running in 5.0 x8 (using NVMe's) and I have zero issues.
