Hello, I'm playing wildstar and I'm feeling the pain of 20-40fps.

My 580 runs super hot unless I ramp up the fan speed but then its far too loud for my comfort. I have recently purchased a 144mhz monitor and I'm pretty sure along with my 4770k, I'm not getting the most out of my rig with this older card.

I'm looking to spend between $300-500. I have never purchased a top end GPU before. Please help convince me to buy a top of the line card or maybe get a 770 and go just below the best.

Also do you guys reccomend evga or the Asus dcu2?

what resolutions is the monitor you have?

if its 1080P, you will be fine with the GTX770

i think it better to look at all the possible brands of GTX770

MSI/Asus/Gigabyte/Evga/etc

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

for 500$ you could get a 290/780. if your going with 780, i'd go with EVGA because of its superior customer support, warranty and reliability otherwise Asus is a perfect second choice.

Its the asusVg248qe

I believe it 1920x1080. I'm also using a second older monitor that's a much slower refresh rate.

if that is the main monitor for gaming then the GTX770 is fine
