Hello, This is a dumb question.

I have 32gb of ddr5 and i want another 32gb, if i install more of the exact same ram brand/model i already have will there be issues?

only if you go to four stick of ram instead of two because it can cause some stability issues

Depends

Having mismatched modules (even with the same brand like g.skill or patriot and the same model , say g.skill flare x5) it can cause some issues

4 sticks also arent that stable in high speeds especially with AM5 where its almost imposible to get 4 sticks with high speeds or the same speeds you can stably get with 2 modules

I'd honestly sell the OG kit and buy 2x32 if you wanna upgrade

I edit my posts for so if you saw a typo.... no you didn't, you are just crazy

Makes sense. I went to my motherboard website and found a compatible 2x32 6000mhz ddr5 that pairs with 9800x3d

What motherboard? I see you mention 9800X3D.

I run 4x16GB of 6000 CL36 on my 7800X3D and Gigabyte B650 AORUS Pro AX.  It's definitely doable, but not guaranteed.

Borderline useless info if not ouright useless (the later imo) cause the makers cant test every single kit in existence so "what's compatible" is just a "we tested these kits and they work" which isnt gonna help you all that much

99.9% of functioning kits would and realistically will work fine (they use the same chips more often than not from the same makers like hynix samsung and a few others whose names escape me currently)

Just get any 2x32 kit with the correct speeds and youll most likely be fine

The simple answer is 4x DIMM's may be possible but also may require a little manual tuning experience to get there if it doesn't just work.

The safe answer for people who have to ask is stick to 2xDIMM configurations.

yeah, I'll just spend the extra for 2x32 and not deal with the headaches.

If you install 4 sticks of RAM, the problem will be that it won't be able to run too fast anymore. 2x32 is better than 4x16GB.

AMD Ryzen™ 5 5600g w/ Radeon Graphics | 16GB DDR4-3200 RAM | 256GB NVME SSD + 2TB HDD | Amazon Basics 2.0 Speakers

Not necessarily. Like I said above, it may just require a little more know-how on what to tweak to get back there.

Most likely that Guilty said, but my 4x16GB just worked with EXPO.  In fact, I installed it and EXPO was still enabled.  I didn't have to do a thing.

Again, it may be a fringe case due to looser timings (36-36-36-96) or a better board, etc.   I sincerely hope it becomes more than norm than an outlier as selling your RAM used just to buy more while having a 4 slot mobo... is just fucking stupid.
