Depends what you want from it

 

ATX = more expansion in the future

mATX = current trend + overpriced because of this, but allows more compact builds

I wouldn't really say they're over priced. They also offer excellent expansion options, not many people can actually make use of 3 video cards.

 

I'd say go mATX, but I love small cases.

Z97 Gryphon should be around this price range. Can't go wrong with that board.
